Introducing our 2014 Limited Edition ‘BlazeAid’ Shiraz

Fri 13 Mar 2020

Bottle of Brown Brothers Blaze Aid Shiraz on table

We’ve created a Limited Edition Shiraz, with 100% of profits going to bushfire recovery organisation BlazeAid.

Brown Family Wine Group is proud to announce the launch of a specially developed 2014 Limited-Edition Shiraz with all profits going to BlazeAid to assist families in rural Australia affected by bushfires and floods.

The protection and prosperity of Victoria’s North East is a priority of Brown Family Wine Group, and our team is honoured to collaborate with BlazeAid to support their increased demand for donations after the devastating 2019-20 bushfire season. 100% of profits will be going directly to BlazeAid with the money being used to purchase portable huts, to house the hundreds of volunteers who are on the ground in fire-affected areas, as well as supply posts and wire for rebuilding the fencing.

BlazeAid is a volunteer-based organisation working with families and individuals in rural Australia. Developed in 2009 after their farm was destroyed by the Black Saturday bushfires in Victoria, Kevin and Ronda Butler have since worked tirelessly alongside other rural families and volunteers to help regional communities rebuild in the aftermath of natural disasters such as fires and floods.

To have an Australian company like Brown Family Wine Group, who understands the essence and heritage surrounding farming families, supporting BlazeAid is a really special moment for us,” said BlazeAid founder, Kevin Butler. “Their support speaks volumes of their commitment to rebuild communities devastated by the recent fires. The fires over the 2019-20 summer have been unprecedented. We have found it challenging to keep up with the need for rebuilding across Australia, however, it is a testament to our wonderful, hardworking volunteers that we have been able to establish over 35 basecamps (and more to come) and help hard-hit communities get back on their feet,” he said.

The sentiment is one shared by all. “Raising funds for BlazeAid aligned well to our company values and helping families in rural communities was really important to us being regionally based and family-owned,” says our PR Manager Caroline Brown.

As a business located close to some of the bushfire disaster zones, we are aware of the devastation felt in local communities as they prepare to rebuild in the years to come. We are so proud to be supporting an organisation like BlazeAid, who are on the frontline for months after fires and floods have devastated communities doing what they can to help people rebuild their homes and lives.

2014 Limited Edition ‘BlazeAid’ Shiraz

With ripe dark berry fruits, clove and black pepper spice, this incredibly powerful Shiraz provides an excellent concentration of flavour, and is available online in cases of 6, or in single bottles at Cellar Door.

This project would not have been possible without the generous support of our suppliers, including Edison Agency, CCL, Visy and Two Birds Talking.
