On the nose the classic pear of Prosecco is constant with the citrus and bitters flavours creating intrigue.
The palate is light and fresh so best to drink young while at its delicate best.
The grapes for this wine were grown at a number of vineyard across south eastern Australia. The fruit was picked at optimal flavour development to ensure classic Prosecco pear and apple notes flow through the wine.
A small addition of a naturally derived flavour was added to the base wine to deliver the blood orange and bitter lift. The Prosecco Spritz finished with an alcohol of 8.5%, a pH of 3.37 and an acid level of 5.5g/L.
Recommended food pairings:
Prosecco Spritz is best enjoyed with great friends, a large wine glass, ice and a generous orange segment. For food, shared plates are best! Think Szechuan pepper seafood bites with a wasabi mayonnaise. Charcuterie with sun dried tomatoes and marinated artichokes.
