2018 Canberra International Riesling Challenge
Recommended food pairings: This wine teams well with Asian-inspired flavours such as Vietnamese Chicken Salad or Ocean Trout Spring Rolls with Ginger and Coriander. Riesling of this style is fantastic with pan fried fish fillets that are lightly seasoned and drizzled with lemon or lime juice. The Devils Corner Riesling is also a very good accompaniment with freshly shucked oysters.
Growing Conditions: 100% Riesling from our Estate Vineyards located in the Tamar Valley and on the East Coast. The 2018 vintage was excellent across the board with great ripening conditions and quality.
Winemaker: Tom Wallace
Winemaking notes: Juice was run off skins immediately after pressing and then cold-settled. The wine was fermented in tank under strict temperature control to maximise the integrity and impact of the vibrant fruit flavours. It was bottled with and alcohol of 13.0% a T.A. of 8.6 g/l and a pH of 3.06
