The fruit for this 2020 vintage was handpicked from our premium vineyards located on Tasmania’s East Coast and Tamar Valley, whole bunch pressed and barrel fermented. This wine perfectly displays the elements of cool climate Chardonnay with a zesty citrus finesse, mineral notes and sensational complexity complemented from its maturation time in French oak. Patricia would have loved it.

Recommended food pairings: For the summer months the 2020 Patricia Chardonnay would be perfect with lightly fried white bait with a lemon mayonnaise dipping sauce. During winter try it with lobster and a lime and coriander butter. It is also the perfect accompaniment to a ripe brie cheese and slices of pear.
Growing Conditions: The fruit was harvested during the later part of March and into early April 2020 at baumé levels ranging from 11.5 to 12.5. The fruit was hand picked and whole bunch pressed to minimise phenolic extraction.
Winemaking notes: All components completed fermentation in barrel on full solids and with natural yeast to add complexity. The wine underwent full malolactic fermentation to add a further layer of interest and also to reduce the high levels of natural acidity of the 2020 vintage. The wine spent 11 months in a combination of new (36%), and seasoned French oak barriques with the lees continually stirred to ensure complexity and refinement. It was bottled with an alcohol of 12.5%. Vegan-friendly.
