With a luscious palate of juicy strawberry, watermelon & citrus notes this Dry Rosé is delightfully fresh & bright.

With its spiritual home in southern France, Rosé has graced the tables of casual summer dining for centuries. Warm, lazy days beneath a glorious Mediterranean sun were the inspiration to our Origins Series Dry Rosé.

Vineyard Region: Victoria
Wine Analysis: Alc/Vol: 13%
Colour: This release shows a vibrant salmon pink colour in the glass.
Aroma: The nose is bright with fresh watermelon, ruby grapefruit and citrus notes.
Palate: A dry, refreshing palate is mouthwatering and morish.
Peak Drinking: Until 2023

Recommended food pairings: Best served with an ice bucket, sunny days and great friends the Origins Series Dry Rosé is the perfect aperitif. An excellent choice with fresh seafood – think Vietnamese prawn skewers, smoked trout bilinis with crunchy summer salads. Also perfect with a watermelon and berry fruit plate and lighter cheese like brie.

Growing Conditions: The 2020 Origins Series Dry Rosé is from a combination of sights including our Heathcote and Mystic Park vineyards in Victoria. The grapes were harvested from mid February to mid March.

Winemaking notes: A short time in contact with the red skins was undertaken to ensure a light pick blush colour. It was bottled with an alcohol of 13%. Vegan-friendly.

Critics’ tasting notes

  1. “Rosé is often a bit of an afterthought – fruit from a vineyard that doesn’t get ripe enough, or juice drawn off to concentrate a red wine. But Katherine Brown, 4th generation winemaker (and first female winemaker in the family), is passionate about great rosé, and it shows.

The colour is that of perfect pale peach skin. It tastes like an enticing summer fruit salad – watermelon and crisp honeydew, white peach and strawberries.

Refreshingly dry with a silky texture and a citrus-pith acidity while elegant and fun at the same time. Drink it in the garden with goats cheese and sundried figs. “

  2. “The attractive dusty pink colour is a good omen. A solid rosé awaits, with plenty of fruit aromas and flavours. Summer-berry pudding aromas are so inviting. Ripe raspberry on the palate; and strawberry with a lively juiciness, like sucking on watermelon. Very summery and very dry, which is how we like it.”
