14th May 2018 Broadsheet’s bespoke family feasts with Patricia wines

To celebrate the 15th release of the Patricia collection, we teamed up with Broadsheet to present three bespoke dinners in Melbourne, Sydney and Brisbane.

The Patricia collection is named in honour of the family matriarch Patricia Brown, who dedicated 60 years of her life to the growth and prosperity of the Brown family and business.

Her family was her priority, and there was nothing she loved more than cooking meals to bring everyone together.

The theme of Broadsheet’s dinners was “The Family Table”, where five-courses were presented with inspiration taken from each chef’s own family gatherings. Every course was designed to match a Patricia wine.

Melbourne Dinner

Weylandts designer furniture store in Abbotsford, Melbourne was the unique backdrop for the first Broadsheet dinner.

Peter Gunn, chef and owner of Ides, curated a menu inspired by his youth. Guested dined on nostalgic bites with a twist such as house-made peanut butter on sesame sourdough for starters.

A delicious Barramundi with black garlic and sweet corn and lamb neck wrapped in parsley was served for mains.

Dessert was strawberries and elderflowers.

Sydney Dinner

The iconic Icebergs Dining Room hosted the Sydney Broadsheet dinner, with executive chef Monty Koludrovic preparing the family-inspired menu.

Guests took in the stunning views as they dined on alto olive oil, crudo tuna, radish, lemon and nasturtium; fresh cavatelli with broccoli, olive and ginger; and grilled bistecca alla diane with smoke potato and horseradish.

The feast finished with a strawberry, vanilla and sheep’s-milk cheesecake.

Brisbane Dinner

The final Broadsheet dinner was held at Gerard’s Bistro with head chef Ben Williamson bringing his family-inspired dishes to the table.

Guests were treated to Granny Margret’s Chicken Soup and a crab sandwich for canapés; abalone schnitzel, corned beef and white sauce with buttered cabbage and roast lamb with potatoes over cooked greens for mains.

A delightful ice-cream with Milo and Ice Magic was served for dessert.

The dinners were a sell-out and a great success. We hope to bring you a new release of Patricia wines in 2019 with delicious dinners to follow.
