Pinot Gris is everyone’s mate. This cheeky, citrus-driven French style white is refreshing, easy going and lingers just long enough. Not too fresh, not too oaky. The Goldilocks of the whites.

Region: Yarra and King Valleys

Alc/Vol: 13.5%

Smells like: Fresh cut pears, snow peas shoots and lemon thyme

Tastes like: Lime flowers and miso. Crisp, bone dry and moreish with twangy lemon sorbet finish

Goes with: Beer battered whiting with chips and tartare, fresh oysters, goats cheese and chargrilled vegies. Sunshine, but also rain, hail and snow (basically anytime, all the time)

Description

Wine making: Even ripening conditions provided complexity in the Yarra Valley while the cool King Valley brought a delicious mineral citrus spike.

  • 50% Yarra Valley & 50% King Valley fruit
  • Harvested Feb-March 2018
  • Combination of whole bunch pressed and destemmed to press
  • 85% stainless steel cold fermentation to hold onto that freshness
  • 15% matured in French oak for that lush mouthfeel
  • Barrels lees stirred for three months
  • Style: Dry and fresh
  • Cellaring: Up to 3 years
