The Whitlands Vineyard, 800 metres above the King Valley, is purchased and vine plantings begin immediately, including Rhine Riesling, Gewürztraminer, Pinot Noir, Chardonnay, Cabernet Franc, Merlot, Pinot Meunier, Muscat Blanc, Seigerrebe, Reichensteiner, Nebbiolo, Pinot Prescoe, Pinot Gris and Scheurebe.
