Find A Golden Cork and Win Wine for Life.
Somewhere in Australia in 5 bottles of Brown Brothers wine are 5 golden corks. Find one and you can win wine for life. The five golden corks can be found in one of Brown Brothers Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Tarrango, Dolcetto & Syrah, Everton Red, Everton White, Spatlese Lexia and Crouchen Riesling.
You also have the chance to go into the draw to win one of 500 wine packs. Simply collect two different participating Brown Brothers '2nd Chance' corks or screw caps and call 1900 956 125 to enter. Please remember to have your two barcodes and store receipt ready when entering the second chance draw.

Terms and Conditions
1. Information on how to enter and prizes form part of these conditions of entry. Entry into the promotion is deemed acceptance of these conditions of entry.
2. Entry is open to all Australian residents aged 18 years or over. Employees and their immediate families of Brown Brothers Milawa Vineyard Pty Ltd and printers, suppliers, providers and agencies associated with this promotion are ineligible.
3. The promotion commences on Saturday 1st April 2006 at 00:01 (EST) and concludes on Friday 30th June 2006 at 23:59 (EST).
4. Participating Brown Brothers varietals - Everton Red, Everton White, Spatlese Lexia, Tarrango, Crouchen Riesling, Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Dolcetto & Syrah.
5. For the chance to win one the five major prizes awarded instantly, consumers must purchase any one of the Brown Brothers participating varietals from any of the outlets participating in the promotion, and check to see if a Golden Cork is revealed. Instant Winners will need to call the free call number 1800 653 344 during business hours and register their name, address, contact phone number and provide either their licence number or reference to an alternative form of proof of identification. Instant winners will then be instructed what they need to do next to receive their prize. All instant win prize claims must be made by no later than 5pm on Monday 3rd July 2006. Only one instant win prize per person will be awarded and proof of purchase in the form of the winning golden cork, receipt and barcode will also be required.
6. To enter the secondary prize draw (and unclaimed prize draw), consumers must purchase two different Brown Brothers varietals from any of the outlets participating in the promotion, as outlined in Condition 4. If a specially marked cork or screw cap with the words ‘2nd chance’ is revealed, the consumer must during the promotional period call 1900 956 125 and leave their own details including but not limited to their name, address, daytime phone number, date of purchase and the last 4 digits of each barcode from the Brown Brothers products they purchased.
7. Participants can enter the secondary prize draw as many times as they like, however each individual entry must include two barcodes from two different participating varietals.
8. Each entrant must retain and present proof of their purchase (in the form of two specially marked corks) for all entries made, in order to claim a prize.
9. Secondary prize winners (and if any unclaimed prize winners) will be required to send in their proof of purchase (in the form of two specially marked corks and receipts) in order to claim a prize. If requested, any winner who has submitted multiple entries may be required to send in ALL proof of purchases and receipts for all entries received. The Promoter will provide a Reply Paid address for winners to send in their corks.
10. Entrants can only enter in their own name. The Promoter reserves the right to request winners to provide proof of age, identity, proof of residency at the nominated prize delivery address, and/or proof of entry validity.Proof of identification, residency and entryconsidered suitable for verification is at the discretion of the Promoter.
11. The Promoter, in its absolute discretion, reserves the right to verify the validity of all entries and to disqualify any entrant who tampers with the entry process, including but not limited to, techniques designed to avoid payment of call costs, or who submits an entry that is not in accordance with these Conditions of Entry.1
12. Maximum cost of a 1900 call will not exceed $0.55 including GST in Australia. Mobile phones may attract a higher rate.
13. .Entries will be deemed to be accepted at the time of receipt and not at the time of transmission. Incomplete, inaudible or incomprehensible entries will be deemed invalid. No responsibility will be taken for lost, late or misdirected entries.
14. The draw for the secondary prizes and any unclaimed instant win prizes will take place at 1pm (EST) on Friday 7th July 2006 at Legion Interactive, Level 8, 155 George Street, Sydney NSW 2000.
15. All winners will be notified by mail and any winner’s of prizes valued over $100 will have their name published in the public notices section of The Australian newspaper on Friday 14th July 2006.
16. Major Instant Win Prizes: 5 X ‘Wine for Life’ prize packages each valued at $26,755.70. Prize offered as one case (6 bottles) of Brown Brothers wine delivered each month over 25 years. (Delivery arrangements can be negotiated between the Promoter and winner).
17. Secondary prize: 500 x Wine Packs valued at $84.60. Each prize pack will include 1 bottle each of Crouchen Riesling, Moscato, Pinot Grigio, Everton Red, Tarrango and Cabernet Sauvignon. Prizes will be delivered within 28 days upon receipt of the winner’s proof of purchase.
18. The total maximum prize pool is valued at up to $176,078.50 (including GST).
19. If any of the following instances occur, the major instant win prize will be awarded as follow:
(a) If a consumer purchases a glass of any of the participating Brown Brothers varietals in a licensed public venue (i.e bar/café/nightclub), and a winning golden cork is revealed at the time the staff member opens the bottle, then the major prize will be awarded to the person or organisation who purchased the bottle of Brown Brothers wine. The consumer who purchased the glass of wine will not be entitled to purchase the bottle if the golden cork has already been revealed.
(b) If a consumer purchases a bottle of any of the participating Brown Brothers varietals in a licensed public venue (i.e bar/café/nightclub), and a winning golden cork is revealed at the time the staff member opens the bottle, then the major prize will be awarded to the consumer who purchased the bottle of wine.
(c)In the instance of an official Brown Brothers wine tasting event, any Brown Brothers staff member (including temporary, casual, part-time or full-time employee) who opens a bottle of Brown Brothers wine and reveals a winning golden cork will be ineligible to win the major prize.
20. In the event of a NSW or NT resident winning the major instant win prize, the winner/s will be awarded a store voucher to the monetary equivalent of the prize, or alternatively the prize may be awarded in the form of a cheque to the monetary equivalent of the prize (at the Promoters discretion).
21. No more than 20 litres of alcohol will be won by NSW residents. Once 20 litres of alcohol has been won by NSW residents in the secondary prize draw, winner/s will be awarded a voucher redeemable from the outlet where the winning bottles was purchased or alternatively the prize may be awarded in the form of a store voucher or cheque to the monetary equivalent of the prize (at the Promoters discretion) to the value of $84.60 for wine packs in lieu of the alcohol prize.
22. Alcohol will not form part of the prize in the Northern Territory. In the event that a winner is a resident of the Northern Territory, the winner/s will be awarded a voucher redeemable from the outlet where the winning bottles was purchased or alternatively the prize may be awarded in the form of a store voucher or cheque to the monetary equivalent of the prize (at the Promoters discretion) to the value of $84.60 for wine packs in lieu of the alcohol prize.
23. If the prize is unavailable, for whatever reason, the Promoter reserves the right to substitute the prize for a prize of equal or greater value, subject to state regulation.
24. The Promoter reserves the right to validate and check the authenticity of any prize claim or entry before awarding a prize.
25. Instant win game materials are void if stolen, forged, mutilated or tampered with in any way.
26. There will be 684,551 specially marked corks distributed nationally.
27. Programming and other quality control errors will not invalidate an otherwise valid prize claim. Unless otherwise due to fraud or ineligibility under these conditions of entry, all valid prize claims in excess of the advertised prize pool will be honoured.
28. Should any of the secondary prizes remain unclaimed by 5pm on Wednesday 25th October 2006, an unclaimed prize draw will take place at 1pm (EST) on Thursday 26th October 2006 at Legion Interactive, Level 8, 155 George Street Sydney NSW 2000. Any winners will be notified by mail and any winners of prizes valued over $100 will be published in the public notices section of The Australian newspaper on Monday 6th November 2006.
29. The prize must be taken as offered and cannot be varied. Prize values are GST inclusive and are in Australian dollars and are the recommended retail value as provided by the supplier and are correct at time of printing. The Promoter accepts no responsibility for any variation in prize value.
30. The Promoter’s decision in relation to any aspects of the competition is final and binding on every person who enters and no correspondence will be entered into.
31. The Promoter and their associated agencies, and companies associated with this promotion will take no responsibility for prizes damaged or lost in transit.
32. In the event that for any reason whatsoever a winner does not take an element of the prize at the time stipulated by the Promoter then that element of the prize will be forfeited by the winner and cash will not be awarded in lieu of that element of the Prize.
33. The Promoter shall not be liable for any loss or damage whatsoever which is suffered (including but not limited to indirect or consequential loss) or for any personal injury suffered or sustained in connection with any prize/s except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. The Promoter is not responsible for any incorrect or inaccurate information, either caused by the phone user or for any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilised in this competition, or for any technical error, or any combination thereof that may occur in the course of the administration of this competition including any omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications line or telephone, mobile or satellite network failure, theft or destruction or unauthorised access to or alteration of entries.
34. The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who the Promoter has reason to believe has breached any of these conditions, or engaged in any unlawful or other improper misconduct calculated to jeopardise the fair and proper conduct of the promotion. The Promoter’s legal rights to recover damages or other compensation from such an offender are reserved.
35. All entries become the property of the Promoter. The Promoter collects personal information about you to enable you to participate in this promotion but no further use of this information will be made. To facilitate your participation, the Promoter may disclose your personal information to other companies associated with this promotion. If you do not provide your personal information, the Promoter will not be able to enter you into this promotion.
36. If for any reason this promotion is not capable of running as planned, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, tampering, unauthorised intervention, fraud, technical failures or any other causes beyond the control of the Promoter, which corrupt or affect the administration security, fairness or integrity or proper conduct of this promotion, the Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who tampers with the entry process, and, subject to any written directions given by the various Lottery Departments, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the promotion.
37. In the case of the intervention of any outside agent or event which naturally changes the result or prevents or hinders it's determination, including but not limited to vandalism, power failures, tempests, natural disasters, acts of God, civil unrest, strikes; the Promoter may in its absolute discretion cancel the event and recommence it from the start on the same conditions subject to State Regulation.
