[Sat 17 November 2007]

Why not go on an exotic Arabian adventure? If you've dreamt about browsing the markets of Marrakech or following the spice route from North Africa to the Middle East then you need look no further than the Brown Brothers wine and food Festival 2007.

The Spice Bazaar will be held in the luscious grounds of Brown Brothers Milawa Vineyard but surrounded by the colours and aromas of the Orient, bejewelled belly dancers and camels you'd be forgiven for thinking you were in a Middle Eastern Bazaar.

You can sample treats from some of the region’s finest restaurants offering delicacies from Lebanon, Egypt, and the Middle East. Melbourne's finest spice provedor Patrick Aldred will be showcasing creative ways to cook with spices, all with his own fresh, natural handmade spices.

After the rigours and tastes of the Bazaar you can sit down with a glass of Brown Brothers wine and take in the scenery or enjoy a coffee or visit the Farmers’ Market.

Activities in the grounds will also feature around the spice theme with learn to belly dance sessions, camel rides for the kids and live cooking demonstrations from the spice guru, Patrick Aldred who will be showcasing creative ways to cook with spices, all with his own fresh, natural handmade spices.

There’s entertainment for the kids, free winery tours, live entertainment and much, much more.

Please note: Brown Brothers supports the Wines of the King Valley’s – La Dolce Vita Festival and those heading to Cellar Door for a tasting will be required to purchase a Wines of the King Valley logo glass - $8.
All proceeds from the sale of these glasses go to Wines of the King Valley to grow the region as a wine tourism destination.
